Written project coverage
HydroSeal Paver Sealing Warranty
Qualifying paver sealing projects include a written two-year workmanship and adhesion warranty. This page explains the general program. The signed proposal, invoice and project-specific warranty control if their terms differ from this summary.
Eligibility
Coverage applies only when the proposal or invoice states that the project qualifies, the account is paid in full, HydroSeal performed the covered preparation and sealer application, and the homeowner follows the written cure and maintenance instructions. Repairs, stripping, stain treatment, walls, coping, natural stone or other specialty work are covered only when specifically included in writing.
When coverage begins
The warranty period begins on the date the covered sealing work is completed, unless the written project documents state another date. A return visit for furniture, inspection or unrelated work does not restart or extend the warranty period.
What is covered
The warranty addresses covered workmanship and sealer-adhesion failures caused by HydroSeal's application on the agreed work area. After inspection, the remedy may include localized preparation and reapplication or another reasonable corrective step selected for the condition. The warranty is a repair warranty and does not guarantee a cash refund, full replacement or a permanently unchanged appearance.
Appearance changes that are not automatically defects
Gloss reduction, normal wear, traffic patterns, color variation, natural-stone variation, tire marks, dirt, organic buildup and gradual weathering do not by themselves establish an adhesion or workmanship failure. Wet surfaces can appear darker, and shade, moisture and underlying paver color can create variation across the same project.
Exclusions
- Efflorescence, mineral migration, reclaimed-water deposits, rust and irrigation staining.
- Standing water, drainage defects, moisture vapor, hydrostatic pressure or water entering from below or adjacent areas.
- Paver movement, settlement, rocking units, failed base, erosion, edge-restraint failure or damage caused by roots.
- Weeds, ants, insects, joint-sand loss caused by water flow, pressure washing, excavation or pest activity.
- Oil, fertilizer, chemicals, pool chemicals, salt, paint, tire compounds or other stains and contaminants.
- Storms, flooding, wind-driven debris, construction, vehicle damage, abuse, neglect or work performed by others.
- Damage from pressure washing, harsh cleaners, incompatible coatings or maintenance products applied after service.
- Pre-existing coating failure, hidden moisture, repairs or defects that were not part of the agreed scope.
Required care and maintenance
Keep foot traffic, vehicles, sprinklers, rain runoff and furniture off the surface for the project-specific cure period. Prevent irrigation overspray where practical. Clean spills promptly with compatible methods, avoid aggressive pressure close to joints, and do not apply another coating or chemical treatment without checking compatibility. Routine cleaning, weed control, ant control and future joint maintenance remain the owner's responsibility.
Warranty claim process
- Contact HydroSeal promptly: provide the service address, completion date and a description of the concern.
- Send clear photos: include wide views and close-ups taken when the surface is dry.
- Preserve the condition: do not pressure wash, coat, repair or allow another contractor to alter the area before review.
- Allow inspection: HydroSeal must receive reasonable access and time to inspect weather, drainage, moisture, contamination and the affected surface.
- Corrective work: if the condition is covered, HydroSeal will schedule a reasonable remedy based on weather, cure requirements and access.
Limits
No coating can prevent all fading, staining, moisture effects, surface wear, weeds, ants or movement. The warranty is limited to the covered work and remedy described in the project documents. It does not extend manufacturer warranties or cover consequential costs such as loss of use, landscaping, pool service, vehicle storage or work performed by others.
